This is so compact and at first glance, it actually looks like a bottle opener, you probably would not know what this is unless you have seen it before. It even comes in a little opaque black bag with tie strands to cinch it closed, so you could just throw this in your glove box and not worry about it rattling around. The bag has no labels and you cannot see through it, so it could be anything. I think this probably would fit in a man's pocket.
For reference, this video is of the metal exterior door that separates my garage from my kitchen, it is a thick door with a locking door knob but no deadbolt. I also tried this on a few different doors in my house and it works for hollow, wood veneer interior doors, as long as whoever cut the hole in the door jamb didn't make it circular.
I purchased it for a close friend who is going through a messy separation which has turned volatile, so I got this to test on her bedroom door so as she can feel somewhat safer.
This little gadget has some weight to it, it feels very solid and it doesn’t have a cheap look to it.
It comes with a pouch to store the loc in which would come in handy for when travelling and you want that extra security on the main door of your accomodation.
Although I watched a few how-to videos and reviews on YouTube, this does comes with detailed instructions.
For now I’m giving this product 5 stars due to the speedy delivery time, and the look and feel of it.
I will update my review once I’ve had a chance to test it out.

As long as your door has a slight gap, it will fit right in there and stay in place.
The plastic bit is reinforced on the inside as well, so it would take some effort for an unwanted visitor to get the door open.

But as soon as I installed it into my door. I couldn't believe how simple and sturdy it is. This definitely adds-a-lock. I do feel more safe knowing that's an added precaution to my door.. Highly recommend.
My only issue with the device: I have an all metal door frame and door so kicking it down isn’t an option, however, if your door frame and door is made of wood it won’t prevent someone from kicking the door down. It will keep people from entering if they have key access while you are home.

Home: this fits perfectly on my front door. It was tested when the maintenance man at my building showed up earlier than expected. He knocked, and before I could get to the door, he was already trying to open the door AND COULD NOT. This held, and he really pushing. I know someone can get in if they really are determined, but the level of noise they'd cause would alert neighbors and give me time to react. Exactly what I bought it for.
Hotel: I've stayed in one hotel and this did fit. It was loose in the door jamb, but once the door was closed, it didn't budge when I tested it.
Nothing is 100% secure. But this device definitely makes my door more secure then the lock and chain do! I highly recommend for anyone in an apartment and travelers. I practiced taking the lock off to be sure I could do it in a fire. It takes less than 3 seconds to set up and remove. Very happy with purchase.
Here's my story: I had no privacy in my bedroom or bathroom and I HATED it! I could barely sleep soundly without someone busting into my room whenever they wanted. If you notice in my pictures there is what appears to be a standard lock already on my door but for some reason you can just stick anything you want in the slit on the other side and turn and open the door! I was appalled! I enjoyed an enormous amount of satisfaction the 1st time I stuck this contraption on the door and saw the door knob turn and this over 200lb guy (a friend) push and push on this door wondering why he could not get it open!!! It held! It did not budge whatsoever! It doesn't matter if the door is unlocked, if the doorknob is turned it will not open a crack! If you see in my pictures the red part holds the door closed tightly and even if the other person is jiggling the door, once it's in place as shown in my picture it will NOT OPEN. If you are like me and want to keep people from coming into a room you are already in, Iwould definitely recommend this item.
It is super easy to use and works really wonderfully. It really is very secure. I mean someone would have to come with a battering ram or really repeatedly full body bash the door to get it open by probably wrecking the frame. If you have a steal frame - there will be no getting in at all.
The first time I used it - it was pretty tight in my door frame. It gets better with use. I highly recommend this item! Ingenious too - wow - wish I would have thought this thing up. :)
